" These clouds in the portrait are a quotation from Matagna's "Death of the virgin", at Prado. They reappear in 1929 film "Un chien Andalou" on which Dali colaborated with Bunuel. Mantagna's clouds pass ouver the moon just before the famous sequence of the razor cutting the eye".
